BIO

Peter David is a computer science researcher at DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation who focuses on applying natural language processing algorithms to some of the DoD’s most challenging analysis and data management problems. Peter has been the Principal Investigator on 15 research projects for the Department of Homeland Security, the Missile Defense Agency, the Office of Naval Research, the Human Social-Cultural Behavior Modeling Program, the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Army Research Laboratory, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Peter has led the development of DAC’s semantic processing technology – a suite of language processing and network analysis algorithms that produce structured and meaningful data from large unstructured text corpora. When he is not actively trying to build the future, he enjoys thinking and writing about the effects of technology on societies, real and imagined. Peter is the author of Unescaped, a short story about a medieval cybersecurity incident.
